KUALA LUMPUR – Jati Tinggi Group Bhd has secured a RM117.17 million contract from Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) to develop a 275-kilovolt (kV) bulk supply connection for a data centre in Johor. Through this Jati Tinggi TNB contract, the company supports ongoing infrastructure upgrades in Malaysia’s southern state. Johor remains a key industrial and technological hub. TNB awarded the contract to a joint venture between Jati Tinggi Holding Sdn Bhd, a Jati Tinggi subsidiary, and Idiqa Holding Sdn Bhd. Following this, both companies received a formal letter of acceptance from TNB. The project covers the construction of the 275kV Jelutong switching station in Johor. It includes the supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of the bulk supply connection for the data centre.
Under the agreement, Jati Tinggi holds a 70 per cent profit share, while Idiqa holds 30 per cent, unless both parties agree otherwise. The project will commence from 16 December. Meanwhile, construction is expected to take up to 730 days. After completion, a one-year defect notification period will ensure installation quality and system performance.
